Counter for the tracking room¶
Put a bar counter, beat dots and streamers in front of the players on the scoring stage, following the session, with no click box per chair.
Steps¶
- Install the Link plug-in and insert it on the session's main output.
- On a device in the room open the cue, tap Sync, choose Link to DAW, and tick Mute Audio During External Sync if the room has its own cue mix. Leave it unticked to feed the click from the device.
- Mirror or connect the device to the room's monitor. On a Mac or an M-series iPad, use External Display with Overlay Only for a counter on black.
- In the plug-in's SEND TO list tick the device.
- Roll the session. The counter follows, through pre-roll and locates, and parks where the session parks.
Several devices can follow at once: one per section, or one on the big screen and one in the booth.
Without the cue on the device¶
Switch on Push Cues to Stands in the Mac app's Sync Settings beside the plug-in. The plug-in announces the cue, the Mac app supplies the files, and the device receives a lite copy: MIDI map, overlay, score and parts and a mono click. Stands need Accept Pushed Cues on.
