Sync settings

The Sync button opens this sheet in the Library and in the cue view. One sheet decides whether the device leads, follows, or keeps its own time.

Sync source

Choice What it does
None (Internal Clock) The device keeps its own time.
Link to DAW Follows a DAW session through the Link plug-in, or a conducting CueConductor. Sample-accurate, no MIDI setup; the position tracks the master even while stopped. The session's start timecode should match the cue's.
MTC MIDI Time Code from the selected port. Use the IAC Driver for a DAW on the same Mac, or a network MIDI session for another machine. Covers QLab and show-control rigs.

Follow Master

Which master this device listens to. Any Master accepts whichever podium or plug-in connects. With more than one on the network, pick yours; the others are refused. Masters appear once they have tried to connect.

Follow Master's Cue

Open the cue the master announces. Applies when the transport stops, never mid-playback. Off, a banner shows the announced cue.

Accept Pushed Cues

Receive the master's cue in the background as a lite copy: MIDI map, overlay, score and parts, mono click. A full package you already have is never replaced. Pushed copies carry a Pushed badge.

Mute Audio During External Sync

Checked, the device is silent while locked and the master supplies the audio. Unchecked, FOH and click stay live under your own mixer settings.

Auto Latency (learned)

Measures this device's landing error after every Link chase and folds it into sync. A fresh device calibrates itself within a few locates and remembers. Applies to Link and conductor sync; MTC stays manual.

Manual Latency

Hand trim on top of Auto Latency, or alone when Auto is off. Start governs entries from the top of the cue; Mid-Cue governs locates past the beginning. Leave Same as Start on unless they need different values. Late by N frames, increase; early, decrease.

Conductor Mode

  • Conduct (Broadcast): stream this device's playback to every stand on the network. No audio. External sync input is unavailable while conducting.
  • Push Cues to Stands: send a lite copy of each cue you open to stands that lack it. Also works on a Mac beside a Link plug-in: the plug-in announces the cue, the app supplies the files.
  • Device Display Name: how this device appears in the plug-in's SEND TO list and to other devices.

Earbuds

Shown when Bluetooth carries the audio: the pair's name, the reported delay, the trim, and Calibrate with Microphone…. See Earbuds on a stand.

Classic Sync Engine

Fallback to the previous engine. The current one drives the overlay straight from the master clock and starts audio and video on hardware-scheduled appointments. Flip this only if the new engine misbehaves, and re-engage sync afterwards. MTC always uses the classic engine.
