Share cues, programs and the catalog

Share a cue

Long-press a cue in the Library, or right-click it on the Mac:

  • Share Cue sends the .conductpkg through the share sheet, AirDrop included. If the score carries markings made on this device you are asked whether to include them.
  • Save Cue to Disk… writes the file where you choose.
  • Share Folder… and Share Cues Individually… do the same for a folder.

The receiving device opens the file in CueConductor and it lands in the Library.

Share a program

Long-press a program:

  • Share Program Only… sends the program's definition as a .cueprogram: titles, film start, frame rate, the list of cues. Small enough to text.
  • Share with Film… includes the film.
  • Save Program Only to Disk… and Save with Film to Disk… write the files.

A device receiving a program matches its cues by title as well as by id, so cues downloaded separately join it. Cues it does not have show not in library until they are downloaded.

Every catalog title has a link of the form https://get.cueconductor.app/<title>. On a device with CueConductor installed the link opens the catalog at that title; without the app it shows the title and a link to the App Store. A PIN travels in the link after #p=, so a texted link downloads straight away.

The catalog

Tips → Browse CueConductor Catalog lists every title Vision Music Publishing publishes, in series. Perusal and rehearsal editions are free; performance editions ask for the PIN that came with the licence.

  • PROGRAM entries are whole evenings. Downloading one installs the program; its cues are downloaded separately.
  • COMPANION entries are files that go with a title, such as a Pro Tools session. They download whole and offer Save… to put them where you want.

Titles already in your library say so. Refresh reloads the list.

Publishing your own titles

The catalog is Vision Music Publishing's. To put your own cues in front of players, share the .conductpkg directly, or host it and send the link; CueConductor opens .conductpkg and .cueprogram files from any source.
